Ministry Update

On Monday mornings we have our regular staff meeting. It is a time of praying over the requests we receive, praising God for the weekend’s events, and spending some time thinking and discussing the things of God. I recently assigned one of Bill’s books to each of our staff to read and then present a devotional based on that book. We are a few books in and it has been a blessing to see how God worked through Bill’s life and this ministry! I plan on compiling the selected chapters into a book. We are excited to see where God has brought us from and where He is taking us!

Golf Challenge Results: Our 4th Annual Bill Glass Behind the Walls Golf Challenge was a success netting around $50,000. That is enough to fund three average size events. Even with the rain, we had a good crowd stick around for dinner and entertainment. We already have secured the date of Monday, June 2nd at the Cowboys Golf Club. Expect to see a Save the Date soon. If you live in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, please consider how you can help, support, and be involved in next year's tournament. If you live in another part of the country and are interested in putting on a Golf Challenge fundraiser, reach out to our development team (email).

Sterling, CO: This past weekend, 37 trained Teammates including 12 Rookies had 479 Gospel conversations with inmates in Sterling, CO. 109 men began relationships with Jesus and another 168 repented and returned to Him! We were invited to come back before we left the yard!

Columbus, OH West: On May 18, 81 Teammates including 14 Rookies were trained to share the Good News. They had 934 Gospel conversations in two prisons. 117 men started relationships with Jesus and 219 repented and returned to Him! We did have a unique occurrence in one of the units: a band made up of inmates played to open the programs!

Crescent City, CA: 34 Teammates including 2 Rookies were trained and then took the Gospel into Pelican Bay State Prison. They had 690 conversations and 118 committed their lives to Jesus and another 135 came back to Him! We had a couple of our new Platform Guests with us. Comedian Dennis Gaxiola and singer/musician Martin Cantu.

North Central Kentucky: God used 67 trained Teammates (14 Rookies) to lead 435 men and women to the Lord, 91 for the first time and 344 repented and returned!

Busy Schedule: There is usually a summer lull with school being out and folks on vacation, but we are not slowing down. We have two more events in June, five in July, and eight in August! They are happening all over the country so there is bound to be one near you. Check out our event calendar here.

As we have been more active this year, I thought it would be good to share some feedback I have been given about our ministry by leadership in various facilities:

You brought hope to those that, before today, thought there was no hope.” – Warden in California

“In the 17 years I have been here I have never seen the ladies laugh and enjoy themselves like they did today. You made an eternal difference today” – Deputy Warden in Kentucky

“…this event was a complete success.” – Warden in Ohio

“Can Bill Glass come back every quarter?” – Chaplain in Florida

“I’m not letting you all leave until we have a date for next year” – Warden in Georgia

“What a great day! What a great experience! No one does it like Bill Glass Behind the Walls – Michigan Chaplain
