Ministry Update

Constants – God and change! Change in our nation, change in incarceration facilities, change in our landscape, changes in ministry. It’s not really that change occurs, but how we respond to it that matters the most. I have spent a lot of time reflecting lately on the urgency that is needed in our world of change. I think we need to be more intense. According to multiple surveys, only 46% of America profess to be evangelical Christians. Less than half of Americans. Approximately 8,890 Americans die everyday...so if you do they math, approximately 4,800 die and go to hell for all eternity each day in our country.

We need your help – PRAY, GIVE, and GO:  There are three ways to help! PRAY, GIVE, GO! You have heard that two out of three ain’t bad, but three out of three is really great. We appreciate all you do!

Northwest Ohio Day of Champions: Kicking off 2025 in Stryker, OH, we trained 48 Teammates, including 7 Rookies. Those volunteers had 140 Gospel conversations resulting in 38 men and women beginning relationships with Jesus and another 44 repenting and returning to Him. We were also able to train 47 inmates on how to share the Good News.

Northwest Ohio Teammate Spotlight - Ezekiel Knob: Ezekiel was a Rookie at the Northwest Ohio Day of Champions. I had a chance to sit down with him at lunch and talk about the morning program. He said, “One of the guys in my group said he was already a Christian. I stuck to the training from last night and walked him through the tract anyway. He said he had never asked Jesus to forgive him and had never asked Him to be his Lord and Savior. So he did right there and then!”

Our training is simple and, as Ezekiel learned, it works! There is nothing like a Monday morning staff meeting where we recap the weekend events and swap stories like this. We need more of them!

Fresno, CA Day of Champions: This event happened in two facilities: the Fresno County Jail and a juvenile unit. Teammates get to share the Gospel two or three times in prisons but in county jails, they get to do it five or six or more! Bill always said that people in crisis are more willing to make a life-changing decision and folks in county jails are typically at a greater level of crisis than those in prisons.

Weekend before last, we trained 155 Teammates, including 32 Rookies, who then had 1,005 Gospel conversations. 395 men, women, and juveniles gave their lives to Christ. 380 repented and recommitted! The icing on the cake was the 115 inmates we trained to share the Gospel behind the walls. What an event!

2025 Event Calendar: So far, we have 30 events on the calendar with more about to be added. Our goal of 72 this year is becoming a reality! You will see quite a few areas that are new or have not been visited in a while. The Regional Directors have been hard at work. Please continue to pray as they build Local Teams and engage local churches.

5th Annual Golf Challenge: We have opened up the registration for the 5th Annual Bill Glass Behind the Walls Golf Challenge. If you live in the Dallas-Fort Worth area (or even if you don’t) and want to play at the beautiful Cowboys Golf Club or you want to help as a sponsor, get registered today! If you are not a golfer but you would like to sponsor a foursome for some deserving pastors, you can do that online as well. Click here to go to the registration page.
