Ministry Update
Following the Ohio State – Texas game in the Cotton Bowl, something awesome happened. Ohio State running back TreVeyon Henderson was asked about his 75-yard touchdown run. He began his response: “It was a battle, especially after making my mistake on the field with the penalty. I just spent some time with the Lord on the sideline asking for His forgiveness and helping me to repent, to turn away, because that's not the person I want to be.“
We always hear athletes thank God and some thank Jesus too, but when was the last time you heard someone talk about repentance? I was pulling for the Longhorns, but it is hard not to like a young man who shows a different level of maturity like that. Let’s live out that same mind and heart-set as we take the Good News into more correctional facilities this year!
End-of-Year Appeal:
The current development landscape has been challenging. I recently read a
report about the dramatic decline in giving to churches and non-profits. Post covid reports say 2024 showed a continued 8% drop in giving to churches and non-profits and in addition, in those that do support overall reduced their giving by 15% on average. The landscape has changed.
Our local churches need our support both in giving of time and financial resources as well as our presence and prayer for our pastors and church leaders. We need your continued support at Bill Glass Behind the Walls too. Thanks to everyone who responded to our year end giving appeal. We fell short of our year-end giving goal and need your support now more than ever. You can Give and Go anytime -

Staff Update: I am happy to announce that we have hired another Event Administrator to serve at our National Support Center. Join us in welcoming Jennifer Sanchez to the team. She started on Wednesday, January 15. We are also in the process of interviewing several Regional Director (RD) candidates and a potential social media intern.
Church Connections: When we interview potential RDs as we have been doing for the past several weeks, we hammer home the need to have partner churches to make our events successful, both behind the walls and beyond the walls. It’s our mission! We are looking for introductions to pastors, associations, and Bible studies. Any place we can connect with Christ-followers who want to see their churches sharing the Gospel.
Local Teams: This goes hand-in-hand with church connections. Ideally, Local Teams would come out of our church connections. While we have had some great teams made up of people from individual churches, it would be best for our coaches to be representatives of the congregations they are members of. Once again, it’s our mission! Continue praying that as we expand and grow, that the people God wants to serve on those Local Teams are ready, willing, and able. If you know someone who would like to serve, send them
here.
